STUDY OF CAVITATION IN LIQUID SODIUM AND SIMULATION OF DYNAMIC CORE DEFORMATIONS

Due to the high confinement of closed fuel assemblies in Sodium-cooled Fast Reactors (SFR), liquid sodium filling space between these may vaporize case an important mechanical excitation (cavitation process).
